About Us

Suthers Star Garage has been part of the local area for a long time. We’ve worked with customers from Much Hoole, Walmer Bridge and the wider Preston area for generations, and a lot of the people we see today have been coming to us for years.

We’ve never tried to be anything we’re not. It’s always been about doing the job properly and being fair with people.

Where It All Began

The garage started out over 90 years ago as a small local workshop. Back then, things were much simpler, but the idea was the same — help people keep their vehicles running and get them back on the road.

Over time, cars have changed and so has the equipment needed to work on them. What hasn’t changed is the way we deal with customers.

How We Work

We keep things straightforward.

If you bring your car in, we’ll have a look, explain what we’ve found and let you know what needs doing. If something can wait, we’ll tell you. If it needs sorting, we’ll explain why.

There’s no pressure and no confusing language. Just a clear explanation so you know where you stand.

Regular Customers Matter

A lot of our work comes from people coming back again and again, or recommending us to others. That’s something we don’t take for granted.

We know that if we don’t do things right, people won’t return. So we make sure every job is done properly, no matter how big or small it is.

Keeping Up With Modern Cars

Cars today are more advanced than ever, so we’ve had to move with the times.

We use modern tools and diagnostic equipment to work on newer vehicles, but we still approach things in the same way we always have — take care, do it properly and don’t cut corners.
